Fiat X1/9 Targa 1980 (Sold)

Fiat X1/9 Targa 1980 (Sold)

Really cool little collector car with targa roof!
This collector car is driven only 5.303 miles, is completely original & in a very nice condition.
The car is completely rust-free & it is one of the rarities on this car model.
The car is early extra rust protected.
Metallic red with cream colored interior. Removable targa roof. Blaupunkt cassette radio. LM wheels.

Swedish sold together with about 400 others that were sold new in Sweden, how many are left in this condition ?

Who would believe that the basic shape of this sizzling little Italian was created over 50 years ago?
It was in 1969 that Marcello Gandini, a designer at Bertone, showed an open case called the Autobianchi Runabout Barchetta at the Turin Motor Show.
Three years later, the car went into production as the Fiat X1/9, commonly referred to as the “Fiat First September” ever since.

Such a fun people’s sports car had not been seen since the Triumph Spitfire debuted. But the Fiat was technically a little more special than the Spitfire; it had a mid-engine.1.5 engine on another ten. Not a racer exactly, but with lovely balance, fresh air thanks to the removable targa roof – and so the honest lines.
No wonder it sold like hotcakes in the US!
